In Friday, August 14th's edition of the Pittsburgh Catholic, Bishop David Zubik wrote a commentary titled "So help us God." He writes about Planned Parenthood and abortion. There are some pretty stunning facts.
Planned Parenthood reports that it performs roughly 330,000 abortions every year, a third of the abortions in the United States. Planned Parenthood has said that abortion services are just part of its business, but that they also give adoption referrals. Zubik counters that, "They don't tell us that their rate of abortion to adoption referrals is 149 to one." Add that to reportedly leaked videos of Planned Parenthood officials discussing the act of obtaining babies' organs, and I can safely say I was thoroughly shocked... And not in a good way. I really hope that all of you reading this take the time to reflect on what we are letting ourselves accept: the murder of our country's children. If any other country was killing babies, America would be in an uproar; so why aren't we when it's happening in our own backyard? Now, I understand there are circumstances where mothers cannot support their baby, etc. Please choose life! Adoption helps heal hearts and fill holes in the lives of people who can't have children of their own. Imagine, 990,000 families completed every year in the United States if abortion was stopped. Talk about joy! Please pray for all the people in Bishop Zubik's article +
