I have had 4 pen pals during the past... many years. My current one has kept up the longest correspondence of the them all. I also recently started writing back and forth with my grandfather who lives in Leeper. That keeps us both updated in each other's lives even though we don't visit very frequently. Do any of you have a pen pal? Or have had a pen pal? Mine have all been set up through the Clubhouse Magazine which branches off of Focus on the Family. Does anyone know of any other sources for pen pals? I have outgrown Clubhouse's audience age...
I can not drive yet, so I have made many mental lists about where I will go when I can drive. That's another thing about me, I make many, many lists, both in my head and on paper. Anyway, back to places. So there is the library, the mall (frozen yogurt, Auntie Anne's, and Claire's), my friends' houses, a coffee house called Wunderbar. And also to my pen pal's house in Michigan to see her in person for the first time. I will also go to Maine. I have no idea why I want to go to Maine, because it's not like I am a huge seafood fan. A couple years ago, I just decided that I would visit Maine. Of course, the long distance trips will have to wait until I am a more experienced driver. My dream vehicle is a pickup truck of any neutral color. I would get a little can of automobile paint and draw a pansy on the tailgate in purple. It would have a full crew cab and probably a short bed, around 6 ft. I would have a cover on it, but not one that is as tall as the cab and makes it look like an SUV type vehicle. Another place I might go is the American Barista & Coffee School. The school is in Oregon, but there are also classes offered in New York. And the funny thing about this, the only school of its kind, is that the name abbreviates to ABCs!! That's all the time I have to blog today; ciao! ~Meghan Hello and welcome to my blog! Make sure to check out the other pages to learn more about me!
I called my blog Meghan's Place because that is what I want to call any business that I might open when I grow up. Possibly a coffee shop or a salon... Last school year I did my career exploration paper on becoming a hair stylist. However, I am adamant about going to a traditional four year college. So I decided that I would go to beauty school after high school and attend college for a business degree. Over the summer, I have realized that practically my entire life I have thought, Maybe I will open a little coffee shop when I grow up! My mom always says that particular towns near our house need a coffee shop. So there is a demand for one opening; you can find a salon pretty much everywhere you go! Also you don't need any specialty schooling to open a coffee shop but to complete beauty school you need to practice for hundreds of hours. At a coffee shop you can choose what you offer but at a salon you can't say that you will only create certain styles because you will be running a very unsuccessful business! And lastly, opening a coffee shop would fulfill my need for a non-monotonous job. Yes I would be making the same drinks everyday, and yes there would be some regular customers, but a lot of them would be people I have never met. So it would be an exciting job!! So I think I have made a complete introduction to this blog, between this post and the other two pages! Please check back often to see my latest posts! Until next time, Meghan |
