*This is one of my favorite quotes!* Do not go where the path may lead you. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. [Think about: As you prepare to leave [my old school], where do you envision yourself, a year from now, at the end of your freshman highschool year? In 4 years as you prepare for life after high school? In 10 years, when you have assumed adult responsibilities?]
Do not be a follower, be a leader. Don't just follow the paved road. Take risks and crash through the woods with boots and a flashlight. If you work for it, you will appreciate it. A year from now, I will have (probably) survived freshman year. I will know many more people, but I will remember the friends I have made here. When I am done with highschool I will contemplate what to do with my life. I will most likely go to college, and get a guinea pig! In 10 years, let's see. I will be 24. I might be married, I will hopefully have a job, maybe a family, and definitely some pets! But who knows; I will have to leave my trail when I find my sense of direction.
